| Company Profile Ideas Are Us is a retail and wholesale business located in Atlanta, owned and managed by Ruksana Hussain. Originally from India, Ruksana arrived in Atlanta in 2006 to a dearth of Indian handicrafts, especially those that were eco-friendly or Fair Trade. She decided to cater to this niche market introducing green arts and crafts from India that were not only aesthetically pleasing and utilitarian but also reasonably priced. Each piece is an original handicraft, taking painstaking hours, resources and effort to produce. The women who craft these products (some pictures below) are part of grass-roots groups that provide them the training and encouragement to learn the skills to support themselves and their families, enabling a better livelihood.
